About Uganda

Uganda, aptly named the Pearl of Africa, offers one of the continent's most unique wildlife experiences - mountain gorilla trekking. Beyond its famous primates, Uganda boasts incredible biodiversity, from the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains to the mighty Murchison Falls, and offers some of the most authentic and uncrowded safari experiences in Africa.

Top Highlights

  • Track mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
  • See tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park
  • Experience the power of Murchison Falls
  • Raft the source of the Nile River in Jinja
  • Encounter chimpanzees in Kibale Forest
  • Explore the vibrant capital city of Kampala
Best Time to Visit

Uganda can be visited year-round. The dry seasons (June-September and December-February) offer easier trekking conditions for gorillas. However, the 'wet' seasons often have fewer tourists and gorillas are easier to find as they don't venture far for food.
